Up Close and Personal

Thanks, Marian. Elephants are among my favorites of large animals. This photo was taken in the Chitwan National Forest of Nepal. The elephant was older but very gentle. We fed her with tidbits provided by her also gentle mahout.

I love animals! Having said that this photograph is wonderful, the texture of the skin adds an element of depth to this photograph. It makes me want to rub my hand over the skin. Is the elephant old? Where was the photograph taken?
